GÖRAN SUNDBERG ATELIER COLLECTION:
TAILLEUR CRU
The Collection is founded on the idea of creating an elevated style and dressing by mixing techniques from jeans- and workwear into tailored garments in refined materials. Through further development of these techniques in the atelier, the collection encompasses suits, blazers, coats and jackets with updated tailored silhouettes – constructed with welted seams and heavier threads in single layers of fabrics.
Materials include heavy cotton sateens, pure wool suitings, nylon meshes, and nappa leathers. Tops and dresses are in turn cut into updated sportswear shapes and made up in fine shirting cottons and pure silks.
The collection is a further development of the atelier’s high/low concept that combine and contrast subculture expressions with refined clothing. With a sustainable objective, the Tailleur Cru garments are developed as to reduce superfluous layers of materials, such as linings and interlinings. As a complementing strategy, a compositional design approach is used for the utilization of residual materials.
The Tailleur Cru collection is also offered as a supplementary made-to-measurement service.
